13 years have passed since C++11 and 27 years since the invention of Mersenne Twister. Still Mersenne-twister is the main default choice in C++ for most random generation. This talk is here to precise why it is a problem. To analyse what has been invented since. And to precise when we can leverage the alternatives and why it matters.
